The children of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have shared their first public statement following their father’s arrest and charges – see what they had to say below.
The disgraced rapper was arrested in New York last month and subsequently charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Diddy was later denied bail after offering a $50million (£38.4m) bond, and was reportedly placed on suicide watch as he awaits trial. The artist has since appealed against the bail denial. His trial date is scheduled for May 5 next year.
While Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges, his lawyers have also dismissed all accusations against the rapper as “clear attempts to garner publicity”. Adding: “Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone – adult or minor, man or woman.”
Now, six of Combs’ children – Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance and twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs – have shared a joint statement to social media on Tuesday (October 22), pledging their support to their father, and shared a photo of them with Diddy.
They wrote: “The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media.”
They continued: “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”

Earlier this week (October 21), it was announced that five new civil lawsuits have been filed against Diddy, with the youngest alleged victim being just 13 at the time. According to reports, two men and three women have filed civil lawsuits against the hip-hop mogul at a federal court in New York. They accuse him of sexually assaulting them at various parties across the US.
Last week (October 16), Combs was accused of raping a woman as payback for her claiming that he was involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur.
Combs is in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City. He is next expected to appear in court on December 18. According to Rolling Stone, he could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.
Other reports suggested that he was not eating in prison out of fear of being poisoned. The bail denial meant that the rapper has been ordered to remain in jail while awaiting trial.
As emerged earlier this month, Diddy is now also potentially facing new lawsuits from around 120 people accusing him of sexual abuse and assault, including 25 minors.
